I have never knit an afghan square before, but a few people on Ravelry wanted to do something for Joel's girl. Joel was a member Ravelry.com he was only 38, and driving his daughters to school on March 17, he was hit in a head on car crash. He died latter that night. We are all sad at the loss of a great person, and a young father. I wanted to show my support as well. So I volunteered to knit a couple squares.

It's a cute understated stitch pattern, and as someone else has designed the layout for the afghan, I thought I would keep it relatively simple, as to not detract from the overall piece.
