Your purse is absolutely gorgeous! I love it!
I'm sure you can use yellow cake mix for poke cake, I think they say to use white cake so the color of the jello shows up better. I did two colors of jello once, one side of the pan in one color, the other side in another, I don't remember what colors I used.
